I do not have an owners manual that came with the ATV To adjust the idle do I just need to spin that gold piece on the bottom of the carb while running until it gets up to 1200ish

In the process of removing the carburetor, to check that inlet jet, but it could be a leaking intake boot as well? If so, where's this boot located? I'll just change everything.
